ABA/CC/UCI Regulations

As always review the ABA/CC/UCI regulations found on the ABA website. Here’s some quick links related to the road.

Notes From The ABA

Wheel Cars

“Wheel cars will be wheels in wheels out unless the car is full where then it will become neutral.” See the 2017 rule changes for additional information.

Women’s Ability Categories

According to 2017’s regulation changes, Women’s races will continue to be broken down into 1/2/3 & 4/5. Category 3 women must race with the 1/2 group.

Disc Brakes

Disc brakes are permitted.

For more information see the Cycling Canada’s Companion Guide (Page 13).

Race Numbers

Each racer is assigned a Race Number to be used throughout the year. All racers that have already acquired their number must use it for this race. Failing to bring your personal race number to this event will result in a fine of $10 (CASH) to help cover the cost of a replacement number. There are no exceptions to this rule. Make sure to check that you have your numbers well before your start time.

Rider Conduct

Unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated, including but not limited to public urination, littering, use of profane language and verbal abuse of officials.

Anti-Doping Rule Violation

The ABA complies with and fully supports the UCI anti-doping regulations, the clauses of the World Anti-Doping Code and its international standards to which the UCI anti-doping regulations refer and to the anti-doping regulations of other competent bodies as per the regulations of the UCI.
